Raju Gurung

Raju Gurung grew up in the middle hill range of Dhading, a small hilly region of Nepal. He started his journey as a trekking and tour guide in Nepal, he has accomplished his trekking trip all over the base camp of the Mountains of Nepal and toured over the cities of Nepal and also climbed the Mera Peak (6476m), later he registered his own company with his brothers. He has been to Malaysia, Thailand, and India.

After completing his Master's Degree, he joined the tourism sector and was appointed in a local trekking company as a mountain and city tour guide. He was a teacher in a secondary school before he joined the tourism business and now he is also the elected executive member of Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) that represents all the trekking agencies of Nepal. He has tremendous experience in the different sectors, among them his prior choice drives him to the Tourism Business.

All of the clients who he had worked for the guiding gave him excellent feedback for his service. Almost all the clients are very happy with his treatment as he could convey the vast knowledge of history, culture, religion, geography, and mountains of Nepal.

Raju Gurung is also participating in the privilege of education in the remote areas of Nepal, for the poor and needy children. Every year he provides huge scholarships to the students of remote areas of Nepal. About 1100 students are benefited by his scholarship donation program, which is supported by Taiwan donors.
