Trekking Permit for Manaslu Circuit Trek and Tsum Valley

After breakfast in the early morning, we will begin our trekking journey drive along the Prithvi Highway west of Kathmandu. The trip will fill with beautiful terrace fields, nice landscapes, and typical mountain villages along the bank of Trishuli and Budi Gandaki River including dense forests. The way leads you crossing over the Trisuli River towards Dhading Bensi then regular to Arughat viewing through the iconic views of Mt. Manaslu and Ganesh Himal and our continue driving leads us to the low valley to the north viewing the towering peaks and picturesque densely flowing Budhi Gandaki. The drive crosses through several typical villages until the Budhi Gandaki Valley widens and from the opposite side of the valley we can see the huge stream flowing into the Budhi Gandaki River then we reach Lapu Besi (880m), still we continue down our trek to Machha Khola, overnight stay at the tea house.

After delicious breakfast in the morning we begin our trekking towards Jagat passing through the Thado Khola and ascend upstream to Beni Khola. The trail then goes through the dramatic gorges with rocky sculptured with white water fall along landslides. Similarly, we pass through a suspension bridge then arrive to beautiful tiny village of Khorla Besi after some walking we reach to natural hot spring at Tatopani means hot water in Nepali language. Again we continue our trek to another trail crossing by another suspension bridge over Budi Gandaki River and pass through the landslide area to reach Dobhan village probably the lunch camp. After our lunch break we proceed to our destination crossing by the other bridge again over Yaru Khola then ascend on stone stairs to Thado Bharyang that lead us to beautiful charming village Jagat. Jagat is the entrance point to Manaslu Conservation Area where we need to register our special permits for Manaslu Conservation Area at check point in Jagat, overnight stay in the tea house.

In the morning after our breakfast, we start our trek into the restricted area of Manaslu by climbing over a ridge towards Salleri. The trail takes us along the river banks and crosses the Budhi Gandaki River through a long suspension bridge as we continue our walk towards the widening valley called Philim. There is not any village between Lokpa and Chumling our journey passes through Syar Khola and then reaches Chumling. In the morning after our breakfast, we go forward to Gho from Chhokung Paro. The journey will pass through the suspension bridge close to Gho then hike towards Rainjam Village. After arriving at Rainjam Village again we continue our journey down to Tsum Valley than at the last, we will arrive at our today's destination Chumling, and overnight stay at the tea house.

We wake up early in the morning eat breakfast and proceed to our next destination. We continue descending in the rocky trails as the journey is not that much tougher and we will move along the side of Shair Khola to arrive at Lokpa village. On this day you might be seen huge flocks of goats and sheep on your way to Deng. After Lokpa we down and cross the Budi Gandaki River over the solid bridge and after all, we go through the narrow gorge from where it starts to up and down that gradually climbing through the valley. Likewise, we cross the river passing through the suspension bridge to Nupbri along the bamboo forest then arrive at the ethnic Gurung village Deng, and overnight stay at the tea house.

After a delicious breakfast, we proceed to another destination climbing through Rana Gaun (1,910m) and then hiking towards Bhiphedi (2,130m). The trail goes through different pasturelands of various farming through canyons crossing the Serang Khola just before heading up Ghap village. After we leave Ghap the trails become steeper and we continue climbing through the bamboo forest and rhododendron woods. The continue ascending uphill leads you to Namrung village, which is the entry point of Nubri province the locals of Namrung village are Tibetan descendants and overnight stay at the tea house.

After our breakfast, we get ready for another adventure trip we leave Namrung and pass through a number of Mani walls entrance gates, assorted Buddhist Gumbas, and fewer traditional villages. Furthermore, the valley opens out then the walking journey passes through Sho Village as the village has many mountain Yaks and gets awards of gorgeous views of Mount. Manaslu (8,163m) and Manaslu North (7,157m). This is the significant day to behold the magnificent views of majestic mountains and continue our trek to Sama Gaun (3,530m), the path follows the right side of the river bank let you an opportunity to enjoy the views of Peak 29. Likewise, after a couple of hours of walking take you to the Syala village, from where you can see Mt. Phungi, Manaslu, and Himchuli. The locals of Syala depend on Yaks, potatoes, and wheat, barely to survive in the remote area. Continue hiking up leads you to the point that let you see the astounding Ganesh Himal towards the east and the Himalchuli as well as giant Manaslu in the south. Then the track goes towards the Samagaun where you can see the two rows of houses in the central part of Samagaun and in the above Sama Gaun monastery is sitting for your welcome. The area is very near the Tibetan border so we stay in Samagaun.

For the proper adjustment to the higher altitude, we have managed a day for acclimatization at Sama Gaun. Sama Gaun is very close to Manaslu Base Camp and the expedition of Manaslu is quiet starting from Sama Gaun. On this day we can roam around the village or we can hike up to the Manaslu Base Camp (4800m) via pristine Birendra Lake. The local women of this village are ornamented with silver spoons in their typical jewelry. There is another side trip also for hiking like Pungyen Gompa covering the Manaslu Base Camp which is the best vantage point to see the beautiful sceneries of different mountains on the horizon. After spending some time in the base camp you will return to Samagaun and relax after a long day hiking, and an overnight stay at the tea house.

Today's journey is not that much tougher, we eat our breakfast in the morning and get ready for another destination Samdo. The hiking journey leads us through the terraced fields along the beautiful landscapes of dry land and crosses through the wooden bridge over the Budi Gandaki River. The way gradually leads up to Samdo village which is located in the lap of the various mountainous towering peaks, overnight stay at Samdo.

In the morning after a delicious breakfast we go forward to Larke Bazaar crossing through a stream then the trail ascending in the moraine of Larke glacier then we go up to Salka Khola Valley ascending through the looser rocky trails and arrive at the stone guest house at Dharmasala (4,450m), It was used by the travelers who had traveled around Nepal to Tibet and they used to stay overnight here. This day will be quite tougher but the views are outstanding which makes your journey more exciting, overnight stay at Dharmasala.

This is the toughest day of our adventure trekking as we wake up early in the morning and proceed to Larkya La Pass we have to cross the Pass before the strong wind over it. The route is gently climbing through the moraine that descends slightly to a lake and after that ascends through the grassy slope. The track regularly leads on the moraine to a ridge marked by two cairns as from here we can see the pass in our visibility marked by the prayer flags. From the Larkey La Pass, we can see the exciting panorama of various mountain series like Himlung Himal, Annapurna II Ponker Peak, and many more towering mountains. After spending our time in the pass we descend towards Bhimthang walking through the looser rocky trails the route follows the top of the moraine on the west and makes a set of steep rough switchbacks. After finishing the descent we walk through the Yak pasture land and reach to Bhimthang, overnight stay at the tea house.

The trail passing through the moraine descends to the Dudh Khola pristine water crossing over the wooden bridge and then into pine woods and rhododendron forest to Hompuk (3,430m).   You will be enchanted by the multi-colors if you are trekking in the spring season and the jungle is home to different flora and fauna. You will be enchanted with the excellent views of Phungi, Manaslu, Manaslu North Peak, Cheo Himal, and Himlung Himal then 30 minutes descent through the jungle leads you verdant of Sangore Kharka. The track then crosses over the landslide and steep climb to a ridge ornamented by the prayer flags and after ultimate descent arrives in Goa, an overnight stay at the tea house.

The trekking trail is full of ascending and descending in the farmland sometimes occasionally through dense forests. After an hour of walking through the terraced fields and rhododendron as well as oak forest head up to Tilje the multiethnic settlement. The trail gets out from the stone arch then cross the Dudh Khola and follows the embankment of the decedent's landscape through the beautiful forest. Continue your walk forward takes you to the Dharapani crossing after the suspension bridge over the Marsyandi River. Dharapani is the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trail. After continuing your walk along the roads and take left on the sandy trail of Marsyandi will take you to the beautiful village of Tal, an overnight stay in the tea house.

In the morning we eat our breakfast and take a local jeep or private jeep as per your choice. It will take 5 hours to drive to Besisahar passing through several villages on the way. We will eat our Lunch in Besisahar and drive back to Katmandu and which is the end point of our adventure trekking trip.
