The Everest  Cho La Pass (5420m/ 17,782 ft) Trekking is the most adventurous trip in the Khumbu region. The pass is on the trail to Gokyo cross over Everest Base Camp trek. This is truly an ideal challenging walk for bold adventurers who are looking for something extra provocation in their life experience. Surely, the trek is not easy to conquer which means it is not much tough of impossible. Everyone can do this trekking but they must be physically fit and have a habit of hiking.

The tough part of this trek is the crossing top part of the Cho La pass snowline. You can benefit from both trekkings as the trail connects with both awe-inspiring site Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp Trek. The Cho La Pass trekking offers the climbing up to Gokyo Ri and Kalapathar. These two spots are the central vantage to catch the iconic figure of Mount. Everest, Mount Cho- Oyu, Mt. Makalu, Amadablam, Thamserku Mt. Lhotse, Lhotse sar. Of Mahalangur Himalayan range major 8000 meter peaks in the world. Those mountains are the glory of nature.

Most importantly the Everest Cho La Pass Trekking is a combination of the legendary visiting site of the Everest region. You will experience the Himalayan Tibetan Sherpa culture and astounding views of almighty Himalayas. As you walk through the rocky trails up to Gokyo Lakes see the pristine holy lakes, glaciers. It is the main region to observation for the combination of friendly Himalayan Sherpa culture and custom and unforgettable scenery of beautiful mountains and glacial lakes.

Above all, your successful trek over Cho La Pass is a lifetime achievement. Crosses into several most remarkable typical villages and tranquil monasteries distinctive waterfalls and pasturelands with the mountain vista thrill your heartfelt emotions. Surely, you record in your mind such an extraordinary adventure trip in your life. The journey all filled with adventure, peace, and sometimes difficulty, but that makes your unforgettable moment deep in your mind. Those natural and cultural phenomenons of Khumbu province make your trip most fabulous and delightful which you never forget.

The Journey to the Everest Cho La Pass begins from the Historical City Kathmandu. The feeling of the crowd of capital town is totally different from that you experience in the Base Camp, Gokyo Lakes, and Cho La Pass. The environment of the holy mountains is cool and makes you feel blessed. Likewise, a breathtaking flight to Lukla takes you to the Everest province of Nepal. Your wonderful journey goes along the Dudhkoshi River and enters into the Sagarmatha national park move towards the Everest Base Camp via Namche Bazaar.

Fantastic view of Ngozumpa glacier from Gokyo Ri blend with Gokyo lakes and majestic mountains of the Everest region. The route goes between dramatic landmarks and the towering pinnacle of mighty Himalayas. Cho La Pass situated between Sherpa typical villages Thanknak (4700m) and Dzongla (4800 m) to the east. So, Cho La Pass is no doubt for the combination of venture and nature wonders. Though Cho La Pass is comparatively tough than other trekking trails highly recommend for experienced trekkers but also novice hikers do it without any problem.

For Safety Purpose

We advise you to research enough before join the Cho La Pass Trek. Get up early around (4.30 or 5 am) early in the morning to make crossing the Pass before mid-day and if the weather turns bad to consider for another day. Heavy snowfall can resist the path crosses over the glacier and erase the tracks so follow the guide very carefully. Be aware of rock falling in the steep up and steep down in the Cho La Pass even in the good weather as the way is made of looser rocks and somehow tighten by Ice.

Most maps tell you the glacier on your right side but it depends on which point of treks you start. If you are crossing from Thangnak towards Dzongla, the glacier in your immediate step on left, and if you start by Thangnak it is obviously on your right side. This rout needs much effort even for fit trekkers and would much nice to cross before the afternoon. As the trail is very steep and the topography is made of large boulders loose rocks and Ice. So if it is too shiny ice may melt and rock may fall and also it will be windy so need careful.
