  • Proper level of training before starting the trek will be able to complete the trek with some problems as the journey is the moderate level trek.
  • The trail is rocky, bumpy, and unpaved as you will walk through the rough track.

The difficulty of This Trek

The trekking to Everest Base Camp is suited for all trekkers and hikers of average fitness level. The whole trek takes around 12 days and reaches up to the altitude of 5545 meters. We would recommend you to do daily exercise before you start the EBC trek like jogging, running, swimming, and walking for the preparation of the trip.

Your trip is starting with the arrival in the beautiful city Kathmandu. Our airport representative will meet you at Tribhuwan International Airport and help transfer you to the hotel. This day you will get the information about your trip and check-in the hotel. This day you can rest and relax after your long flight and in the evening you can go around the market and eat your foods also visit the touristic market of Thamel and sightseeing around the market, overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

In the morning after your breakfast, our tour guide takes you around the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Our guide will introduce the historical, religious, and cultural places in the Kathmandu valley. The city is blended with Hinduism, Buddhism, history, and cultural phenomena. You will visit major sites of Kathmandu valley like Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa also known as monkey temple, Kathmandu Durbar square, and Boudhanath stupa. Pashupatinath temple is the main Hindu temple built in the bank of the holy Bagmati River; people come to visit here to see the Sadhus, Baba, and cremation system. Boudhanath is famous for Buddhism there you will be attracted by the largest stupa in Asia as Swayambhnath stupa located in the hilltop, you can see the beautiful Kathmandu valley and mountains in the surroundings. Kathmandu Durbar Square on the other hand famous for the living goddess of Kumari and other pagoda styles Hindu temples. Today is the fantastic journey beginning of your Everest Base Camp Trek. Wake up early in the morning and enjoy the packing breakfast at the rest point at the airport and take your breathtaking scenic flight to Lukla. You will see the stunning view of mountains and different landscape from the window of the aircraft. From Lukla, you will walk towards Phakding to keep your feet in the rocky trails and eyes catch over the beautiful mountains and the jungle. The pastoral settlement Phakding is situated at the bank of the Dudh Koshi River which is run from the base of Everest known for the milky and clean water. You will have a comfortable night at the Phakding. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Today is the fantastic journey beginning of your Everest Base Camp Trek. Wake up early in the morning and enjoy the packing breakfast at the rest point at the airport and take your breathtaking scenic flight to Lukla. You will see the stunning view of mountains and different landscape from the window of the aircraft. From Lukla, you will walk towards Phakding to keep your feet in the rocky trails and eyes catch over the beautiful mountains and the jungle. The pastoral settlement Phakding is situated at the bank of the Dudh Koshi River which is run from the base of Everest known for the milky and clean water. After breakfast in the morning, trekking begins to another destination as you will trek north part leading towards Monjo. This small place has the entry point to Sagarmatha National Park. You need to take the entry permit in the national park office and processing further trek. The park is the protection home for endangered species of wild animals, “FLORA and FAUNA” and you will enjoy your trekking with the evergreen alpine forests and rhododendron woods. You need to cross the several suspension bridges on the way in the Dudh Koshi River. After Jorsalle you will walk along the bank of the Dudh Kosi River and from the junction of Bhotekosi and Dudh Koshi River the trail raise steeply up inside the alpine forests. Then finally you will get in Namche Bazaar after walking all the way from Phakding biggest Sherpa settlement of the Everest region, overnight stay at the tea house. Today is the day for rest and do hiking for acclimatization of the altitude. This day hiking is important for adjusting with the higher altitude for further trekking as you need to let your body adapt with a small amount of oxygen in the available atmosphere. It will be worthy that you do hiking up to Everest View Hotel because you will be welcomed by the spectacular views of the mountains in Everest massif. You can also buy trekking gears as per your need in the commercial market of Namche Bazaar. Today the trekking goes through the beautiful alpine forests and rhododendron woods in the leisurely place. Leaving after Namche Bazaar the trail goes easy trail and descends to Phungi Tengga passes alongside by the Himalayan villages.  Many trekkers set their destination towards Everest Base Camp on this trail of scenic Himalayan vista. You are walking in the lap of the beautiful mountains like Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and other breathtaking peaks. You will go up to the trail inside the rhododendron woods may encounter with the musk deer. Your destination for today is the spiritual hub of the Everest region Tengboche. Tengboche Monastery is the nuclear part of this trek as the Tengboche is renowned for this largest gompa of this Khumbu region. This is the spiritual hub that you visited in this site to behold the pine forests and azaleas in the backdrop of Ama Dablam, overnight stay at the Tengboche. Wake up in the morning and take the breakfast then you will begin to hike descending through the rhododendron woods of Deboche. You will cross the suspension bridge over Imja Khola and walk steeply up before approaching the next famous Sherpa settlement Pangboche. This is a good place for rest and takes tremendous views of the mighty Himalayas. After rest, you will walk for the targeted destination crossing by the Mani walls and prayer flags written Buddhist mantra. Continuing past your trail to Orsho then cross the stream and get in the beautiful Sherpa village Dingboche known as the ”SUMMER VALLEY” of the Everest region. Dingboche experiences the monsoon contributing to the farming livelihood as they will not fire in their oven in the monsoon, overnight stay at the tea house. Now you already reached up to an altitude of 4000 meters and half of the Everest Base Camp journey has been completed. Today therefore the day reserved for another acclimatization day to summit EBC. There is a steep trail to Nagarjun hill and from the cliff, you will see the gorgeous views of the Everest mountain series. Lhotse, Island peak, Ama Dablam, Lobuche, and Tawache are the main prominent peaks seen from the Nagarjun Hill. Trekking in the best vantage point of Nagrjun Hill is rewarding the panoramic vista of the whole Imja Khola valley. After sightseeing descends to Dingboche and explores the village and relaxes if you want you can buy bakeries and taste different foods, overnight stay at the Dingboche. After breakfast, you will begin your hike up to the verdant above Dingboche pass through the lonely huts use for Yak grazing. You will cross the grassy land by the small stream and reach to Thukla. After some time rest in Thukla, the trail leads you steeply up to the Thukla pass. Today is your special day because you are going to complete your target to summit Everest Base Camp after long-distance walking will get the opportunity to set your feet in the base camp which you were waiting since many days. From Lobuche, you will walk through the rocky trail up to Gorakshep, as somewhere there is the looser rock trail you need to be careful about it. There is a limited number of tea houses and sometime in the peak season, you need to sleep in the dining also as it is situated in the frozen lakebed. Gorakshep was also a site of the original Everest Base Camp and it is the last stop for the human settlement before processing the base camp current location. Take a rest there and eat your lunch then start your trek to base camp. You will hike alongside the Khumbu glacier moraine associated with the Khumbu Icefall is regarded as the precarious section of the climb for those involving to summit Everest. Now you will reach your dream point, Everest Base Camp. Spend your time taking photograph and see around the icefall in the incredible atmosphere, depending on the season you can see the many tents around the base camp preparing for summiting the Everest by many climbers. After some time spend your time you will back to Gorakshep, overnight stay there. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner included.

 

You already had been to Everest Base Camp now the turn to summit Kalapthar as the trek isn’t over yet. You will steeply hike up to the Kalpathar early in the morning and awarded by the beautiful sunrise from the top of Everest. Kalapathar is the best vantage point to behold the Everest Himalayan series up-close in the blossom of Khumbu valley. It is the highest elevation of the entire journey so you will be much exciting. This beautiful vantage point offers you the awesome glistering snow-capped mountains with golden sunrise including the lofty peak of Everest, Changtse, Pumori, and Nuptse. After you descend from Kalapathar eat breakfast in Gorakshep and process trek to Pheriche is the small Sherpa land serve as the famous stop for trekkers, overnight stay there. After breakfast, you will trek down all the way back to Namche Bazaar. You are trekking comparatively easier than ascending because you are going back. You will have an exciting journey as you already completed your target and it will be a fantastic moment in the alpine forests and rhododendron woodland.  There you will cross some suspension bridge pass by Pangboche and down to Phungi Tengga then again the trail leads you uphill and while you get in Kyanjuma the way is very comfortable and finally reaches to Namche Bazar, overnight stay at the tea house. Today you will descend to Lukla where your trekking was started. After walking an hour you will reach the first some suspension bridges and there mules and Jopke may carrying the loads, you need to let them the way first. On the way will crossing by many Mani walls and Chorten and Dudh Koshi River making roar sound just beneath you make you feel very natural, then you will pass by the many local villages and reach to beautiful market Lukla, overnight stay there and you may have the celebration of a successful journey to Everest Base Camp. The trekking to Everest Base Camp almost finished. Wake up early in the morning and take the breathtaking flight back to Kathmandu as you will be farewell by the spectacular scenery of the Everest region and it is all prison in your mind and camera for further memory.  Watching the awesome landscape beneath your aircraft window now you can able to know about the peaks of Everest province. While you landed at Kathmandu domestic airport you will transfer to the hotel and rest from your trekking tiredness as you can go for a massage and spa for your body relaxing. And there is plenty of modern restaurants where you can eat your lunch and dinner, overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

This is the reserve day in case there will any changes in weather in Lukla and delays the flight. If your flight on the right time you can explore more about Kathmandu valley for the religious, historical, and cultural attractions that you missed to discover upon your arrival at Kathmandu. Some famous visiting sites like Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar square, and Chandragiri Hills recognized by UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then after your tour back to the hotel and overnight stay there.

This is your last stay at Nepal, after you’re your breakfast you can go around the local market of Ason and explore the local lifestyle of Newars, and visit Thamel then do shopping as you can buy local things for the memory of your Everest Base Camp Trek, as you can also buy the souvenir for your family and friend.
