Many people get hungry to behold the stunning views of Mt. Everest (8848.86m), but don’t worry we appetite your hunger organizing by the Pikey Peak Trek which is the best viewpoint for iconic Everest. Likewise, Sir Edmund Hillary himself also claimed his favorite as we strongly agreed. The trek can be completed within a short duration of time or customized as per your interest about 3 to 6 days.

Well Planning for Your Trek

For people who are interested in doing the short trek in the Everest region because of their limited stay in Nepal or their interest, this is a perfect trekking trail which is a newly opened route in the Khumbu region that can complete around 3-4 days’ time duration. However, if you want more leisurely it will take 6 days trek permits for a physical workout stress-free and an opportunity to explore several Buddhist sites (monasteries, gompas, and stupas) both itineraries offer astounding views of Mt Numbur (6,958m) including Everest. For clarification of the best views of diverse mountains, you need to visit yourself on such an awe–inspiring trekking trail.
Spend your time enjoying the thrilling scenery adding a few more days on the Peaky Peak Trek. This itinerary provides a more leisurely pace which is best suited for trekkers of less physical challenge demand add more 3 days alternatives.

Formative Itinerates

There are various trekking trails and local routes in the lower region of Everest including Pikey Peak. The most common treks are beginning and ending at Kathmandu within 5 – 7 days. Everything depends on how many days the itinerary is needed for this trek.

Accessing this Trek

There are two alternative access for this trek one is a short 30-minute flight to Phaplu which is the starting point for Peaky Peak Trek or a long drive (6-8 hours) from Kathmandu operating flights by Nepal Airlines, Tara Air and Summit Air continually operates the flight.

Options for Choosing to Fly or Drive

If you have a short time or prefer a short itinerary, we recommend taking a flight to Phaplu, the beginning point of the trek. But if you want to save costs and prefer more days then you can drive to Phaplu by jeep or bus. This is a scenic drive for 7 hours but the driving is the most adventurous in the bumpy road as Nepal roads are not well organized and maintained including limited services along the way.

Time to Go

Most of the trekking trails in Nepal should be better to visit in spring and autumn and the same for Pikey Peak in the winter season also prefer to visit lower altitude places though avoid this trek in summer as it can get watery and wet in this region.
